Side-Hustle Launch
Launch of my side-hustle, selling handmade face masks in the midst of the pandemic to earn money as an estranged Chemistry student at Cardiff University.

Entering the Bridal Space
After attending a friend's bachelorette weekend and having created personalised flutes for the occasion, I listed them on Etsy and they took off like a storm! I then started to sell a variety of personalised bachelorette accessories.

October 2021
Committing to My Passion
I withdrew my application for Post-Graduate Medicine and left my part-time job, as a data analyst for a social enterprise. I decided that, once I had graduated from university, I would pursue growing my small bridal business as a full-time career.

Taking the Plunge
I graduated as a Bachelor of Chemistry, with a 2:1 Hons. The following day, I started my journey as a full-time, self-employed entrepreneur.

Learn moreAfter a year of non-stop personalised flute making for bachelorette parties across the UK, it all slowed down... All sales were from third-party apps, which had all suffered this year, as the post-pandemic online shopping craze began to slump. I started doubting my career choices.

A Change of Direction
Learn moreI decided not to let the slowing sales of personalised bachelorette accessories deter me from my mission, of pursuing this business and achieving my goals. I tried to figure out how I could use my flair for creativity in other ways, still involving the industry I had already become so passionate about: Weddings. I discovered I had an eye for design, particularly wedding stationery and signage, which I spent weeks curating and perfecting, before uploading them to my website and starting on this new, exciting venture!
